Speaker Services

Joanna Chiu is available as a guest speaker, panelist and workshop facilitator.

She has given lectures and workshops on topics including media literacy and journalism as well as talks focused on China: the country’s politics, status of women, internet censorship, legal affairs, technological advancement, poverty alleviation, civil society and international relations.

Her work as a presenter draws from her previous experience as a sexual health educator in Canadian schools and a global conference manager and speaker for Oxfam International.

In June 2018, she presented an original webinar for members and guests of the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) titled: “Managing #MeToo in Newsrooms”.

If you would like to request her for an event, please send a note outlining proposed topic, event duration, location and description of participants to contact@joannachiu.com.
